Are You Shy?

I love this great post by Anne Marie Becker. Confessions of a Wallflower. Go HERE to read it.

I used to be introverted and shy. I'm still making up for lost time. How about you?

Have a wonderful long weekend everyone! Don't forget to smell the roses and read at least one book!

Strangely I am probably more introverted now than I was when I was younger though I'm actually LESS shy. Go figure.

I used to be very out there ... loud and overly exuberant. It covered up the shyness, the horrible fear no one would like me.

The older I get, the more comfortable I am in my own skin. The more I like who I am, the less I care what others think of me. I am an introvert. That's who I am (I think a lot of writers are, actually), but I no longer operate out of fear.

I am what I am and what I am needs no excuses. (Thanks Gloria Gaynor!) ;-)

Shea, that is interesting that you would be more introverted now...

Love that quote!

I do wish all people could feel comfortable with who they are. It took me years to like and accept myself. Not long ago, it would have been difficult for me to put up a blog like this and write posts for all to see. But not any longer. Life is way to short.
